Break up, starting to melt

Things are starting to get slushy!

Walking around town has gotten a lot harder. The mornings are the best as the snow has refrozen over night and it's easier to stay on top. Have been up to my thighs in some of these drifts.

The middle section of the river is still frozen with the overflows on either side. Several people are getting in their boats to get out to the ice to "manuq" -ice fish.

Four Wheelers are making their way back as the boardwalks become more exposed.

Not sure how he got across....

One of the numerous snipe species.

    Successful fox hunt.

                                                Cacklers

Set nets are coming back out.

 More puppies.....

Lots of ice fishing happening. They are trying for the Northern Pike that have come up from the Kuskokwim River.
